Nindo Ryu Bujutsu
忍道流武術
Nindo Ryu Bujutsu, a complete fighting art, was founded by O’Sensei Carlos R. Febres in 1979. The techniques and approach in Nindo Ryu Bujutsu are inspired by the methods and techniques Febres has collected, both in mastering Japanese/Okinawan fighting systems, and in conducting independent research into new approaches to old systems. Furthermore, every system in Nindo Ryu has been adjusted to confront the reality of today’s fighting situations. Traditional etiquette is employed where appropriate, with focus on safety of the students, and maintaining the spirit of the arts that inspired the formulation of Nindo Ryu.
Nindo Ryu consists of simultaneous studies in various systems and is being taught throughout the U.S.and Puerto Rico.

Gendai Ninjutsu 現代忍術
Gendai Ninjutsu – This art is a modern interpretation of the art of the Ninja. The ancient art of endurance, perseverance and patience. It was formulated from the Japanese "Yamabushi" or mountain priests that was later formed into the "Ninja" for such diverse purposes as infiltration, information gathering, espionage and even assassination. There are many ryu's that fall under the lineage of the major "koryu" in Japan. Nindo Ryu has acknowledges, respects, and appreciates these "koryu" and have made an active effort to gleam wisdom from their knowledge
Jujutsu 柔術
Jujutsu – The "Gentle Art" is one of Japan's oldest empty-handed Martial art traditions. It is a study of the various aspects of Grappling and wrestling that has different focuses according to the various "Ryu" and the ethnic influences that are added to them as well as the evolutionary process of the different instructors.
Iaijutsu 居合術
Iaijutsu – The study of the various aspects of the sword. The ancient Japanese are of swordsmanship. The sword arts are broken up into 3 major categories of use, Iaijutsu, Kenjutsu, and Batto Jutsu. An easy analogy is to correlate it to western gun play. Iaijutsu is the use of, as in the west, "Quick draw" or "Fast Draw" Swordsmanship, which entails the drawing of the sword from the scabbard, executing a short series of blocks, cuts, and or thrusts, then cleaning the blood from the sword and re-sheathing the blade. Kenjutsu is the "art of swordsmanship", like a gunslinger of old, weapon already drawn, searching for his sworn enemy or foe, ready to fire upon them with deadly accuracy or deal with a gang of attackers. Kenjutsu is comprised of the same "Kihon" [Basics] of the sword, however the focus is on solo "Waza" as well as "Nihon Kata" or two-man application of those techniques.
Kempo Atemi Jutsu 拳法当て身術
Kempo-Atemi Jutsu - The Term "Kempo Atemi" describes Striking techniques inherent to the Jujutsu styles prevalent in the ancient times. These striking techniques would attack the various vital points, pressure points, and nerve endings of the body. Nindo Ryu has now expanded that to evolve to "Kempo-Atemi Jutsu" which includes all myrid forms of Empty handed striking arts under the inter structure of Nindo Ryu.
Kobujutsu 古武術
Kobujutsu – The "Ancient Martial Art" is a reference to the Ryukyu/Okin
awan Weapon arts that have been influenced by the Chinese Martial Arts as well as local indigenous influences due to military, religious, mercantile or agricultural elements. These include the use of the "Bo" [Staff], "Tonfa" [crutch/grindstone handle], "Nunchaku" [Bridle/rice flail], "Sai" [Trident/mace/sword breaker], "Kama" / "Nicho Gama" [single or double sickle]

This included ancient arts such as "Hojojutsu" [rope tying art] and it's modern application to such techniques as handcuffing for modern L.E.O.'s [Law Enforcement Officers]
Tanto Jutsu 短刀術
Tanto Jutsu – The study of knife fighting. The study of the "Tanto" [Knife] is thought as the "last resort" of edged weapon based martial arts in the Japanese realm. It was used a close range, utilitarian weapon that was "safe" to wear in many locations and situations where a "Daisho" [Katana {Long Sword] & Wakizashi [Short Sword] ] were not allowed to be worn. It has also been used by diverse caste groups as a simple tool or a hidden weapon for close, quick attack and defense. In some circles it is the preferred weapon of female Budoka [Martial Way Practitioners]. However, as modern times give way to a more "Blade-oriented" culture, Tanto Do is a simple, effective, method of self-defense with a knife, as opposed to "Knife Fighting".
Tenkai Do 天会道
Tenkai Do - The "Tenkai" are more of a "special branch" of Nindo Ryu than an art onto itself. These individuals are the "Special Forces" of Nindo Ryu and there are stringent requirements for becoming a member of the "Elite Guard" of the system. Their main function is in regards to being the "overseers" during outdoor testing and to insure that students "give their all during said testing. There is a "window of honor" with limits the time that a Nindo Ryu member can be a member of the "Tenkai" and instruct others of the art of "Tenkaido" which is the way of encouragement, guidance, and observance.
